Back to projects

As part of its mission to improve the working conditions of women processors, SMI is committed to reducing the strain associated with attiéké production by providing modern and adapted equipment. In partnership with the construction company DeSimone, it facilitates women's access to land and structuring financing mechanisms, fostering their economic empowerment.

The project was designed by MSA at the request of SMI's general management to provide sustained support to the Association of Emerging Women of Meantouo. It rests on the mechanisation of cassava production and processing (grinders, dryers, cookers), improved cassava production and a structured commercialisation chain.

Objectives

  • Triple attiéké production capacity (700 → 2,500 kg/week)
  • Increase revenues by 40 to 70%
  • Create over 100 direct jobs and up to 1,000 indirect jobs
